TWO FRIENDS. ONE PURPOSE.

  • It all started with two university friends and housemates, juggling exams, football and late-night study sessions on our path to becoming pharmacists.

    Once we qualified, it was the patients we met while working as pharmacists that really made the job worthwhile.

    Day after day, we met people desperate for an effective hydration solution that tasted good.

The answer was simple:
Water alone wasn't enough.

THE FORMAL TRAINING

While working as Pharmacists we both studied therapeutics at Newcastle Medical School to further our knowledge.

Karim also pursued Experimental Therapeutics at the University of Oxford, working on how to formulate the right product. Charles also went to Judge Business School, Cambridge University to better understand how to grow a business that could help everyone stay hydrated.

We became obsessed.

Drawing on our pharmacy training, we dived straight into research and recognised that these minerals –– sodium, potassium, and glucose –– act like magnets, helping your body retain water. Lose them through sweat, travel, or simply life, and no amount of water alone can compensate.

THE MISSION

Create a hydration solution that actually works and tastes great - without sugar overload or artificial flavours.

After more than 50 rounds of taste testing, in 2012,
O.R.S Hydration Tablets were born.
